The PNCA is the custodian of the National Arts Gallerty (NAG). The four-storey Art Gallery provides 1800 square yards of covered area with 14 galleries, a most modern 400-seat auditorium with theatre and stage facilities, an administrative and teaching area, an open air theatre and a cafeteria. The Gallery is centrally cooled and has backup power generation facility on payment.Booking information is available via contact numbers given on this page. The gallery permits private catering within the designated places. The main objectives for the establishment of a National Art Gallery are to further promote long standing friendship between the people of Pakistan and World at large, create a vehicle for exchange of creative endeavour between the artists and intellectuals of the country, to provide a national forum to the artists of Pakistan, provide galleries of international standards to house collections of art from Islamic and SAARC countries, impart training to the artists and explore hidden qualities of new generations. The National Arts Gallery (NAG) was completed at the cost of Rs.456 million and inaugurated by the President of Pakistan on 25th August 2007 . In a nation-wide design contest in 1989, the design of Messrs Suhail and Pasha was selected for the construction of gallery.![]() |
