The Little Art announces summer workshops for children and young people.

Given our deep experience of developing innovative projects for children and young people; we are very happy to announce our summer art workshops.

We have developed some of the most interesting sessions with experienced artists; that focus on nurture children and young people in the arts and provide them practical experience of showcasing their artworks, photography and films to large audiences through our festivals and exhibitions.

Filmmaking Workshop
Age Group: 13-18 Years
Fee: 10,000 Rs
Venue: Annemarie Schimmel Haus, Upper Mall, Near Lahore Gymkhana.

In this workshop; the participants will explore and understand the basics of art and technique of filmmaking. They will make a short film and actively participate in all the aspects of filmmaking art and craft. Children will be motivated to identify their own stories and execute it aesthetically and technically to have a film as an end result.

After the completion of this 2-week workshop, children will see themselves how any director, as young as they are but with a passion for film, can effectively plan and shoot a wonderful documentary project.

Photography Workshop
Age Group: 13-18 Years
Fee: 5,000 Rs
Venue: Annemarie Schimmel Haus, Upper Mall, Near Lahore Gymkhana.

The workshop aims to develop an appreciation and delight of photography among the youth. Before even picking up the camera the participants will be encouraged to discover their own perspective of ‘beauty’, to be able to identify what inspires them and then develop the skills to capture it on camera. Through a series of fun exercises the participants will learn about Composition, 3-point Lighting, Color temperatures and more. At the completion of course the participants will be given a final assignment and submitted results will be displayed in an exhibition form.


Theater Workshop
Age Group: 7-13 and 14-18 Years
Fee: 3,000 Rs
Venue: TBA

The participants explore their expressions, body language, gesture and voice to create an exciting new characters and atmospheres. Music, art, and props will inspire them to explore and develop the imaginary world of theater.

Learn physical and vocal skills while sharing your ideas, feelings, and the stories you create. Each exciting session will help students build confidence and learn theater basics.

Short skits will be performed as an outcome of the workshop by the children.

Visual Arts Workshop
Age Group: 7-13 and 14-18 Years
Fee: 3,000 Rs
Venue: TBA

The children explore and gain confidence to express their creative side through the medium of drawing and painting. This basic art course aimed is designed for young students to add creativity, imagination and diverse expression as part of their regular education and overall learning.

We encourage diversity, uniqueness and originality rather than uniformity, repetition and imitation, sharing and belonging rather than competition and alienation with each other.

The Little Art
A youth-led organization, determined, through numerous artistic avenues, media in particular, to promote the principals and ideals of democracy, equality, civil rights, community, religious and cultural tolerance and sustaining cultural heritage. Children and young people are our audience.

We work with schools, universities, organizations, media houses and networks who share the same values.

Our group comprises professionals, carrying extensive experience in arts-education, film-making, marketing and development, event management and arts.

Saad Suleyman & Fuzzal Ahmad
Their portraits are marked by moody lighting and emotive subtleties whereas their landscapes are cold and silent. Apart from countless photography projects they have also worked as DP (director of photography) on more than a dozen short film projects. They were the official photographers for the Feature Film ‘Bol’ and have just returned after working on Jami’s upcoming feature ‘1’ and capturing the rugged Baluchistan.

Ali Hameed
A graduate of National College of Arts in Film and Television Production; Ali co-created children’s film making workshop with Lahore International Children’s Film Festival. He has worked in many film projects as director and director of photography. His documentary and fiction work has won several national and international awards.

Noman Amjad
Noman Amjad Qureshi has been practicing theater for several years now; working as theater actor and has conducted several workshops with children and young people, in-school and out-of-school. Noman is a certified psychologist from Govt. College Lahore.

Mudasar Aizaz
Mudasar Aizaz is a seasoned painter and visual artists. He has worked with children and young people throughout his career in urban and rural areas across Pakistan. Mudasar comes from the very talented generation of painters from the 80’s National College of Arts produced.
