In the digital Slide Show "Assalamu Alaikum Pakistan" the life stories of three (un)common personalities in three completely different contexts of Pakistan (Balochistan, Lahore and Kashmir) are presented. The venue is:#30,Street 48, F/8/4 ( Auditorium -Ministry of Narcotics Control), Islamabad The show is accompanied by live commentary of the Austrian Andreas Matt who spent several years working in Pakistan and features pictures, music, sound and insights into Pakistani culture, religion, tradition and politics (from the perspective of a foreigner and three locals). The slideshow also includes pictures from locals, for example participants of the photohraphy-self-expression workshops co-ordinated by Andreas in Lahore and on the Makran Coast, part of the international project IPSUM (www.ipsum.at). Assalamu Alaikum Pakistan has been shown in Pakistan, Austria, Germany, Spain and India. After the slide show a discussion on the medium of slide show and perception through media and pictures will be held.
